Plugin Login

Connect your Paplix account to the KiCad plugin.

First-Time Login

Step 1: Open Login Dialog

  1. Open KiCad
  2. Click Paplix in the toolbar
  3. Select Login or Connect Account

Step 2: Authenticate

  1. A browser window will open
  2. Log in to your Paplix account (or create one if needed)
  3. Authorize the KiCad plugin to access your account
  4. Return to KiCad

Step 3: Verify Connection

  1. In KiCad, click Paplix → Settings
  2. You should see your account name displayed
  3. Your repositories will now be accessible

Account Status

Check your connection status at any time:

  1. Click Paplix → Settings
  2. View your connected account
  3. See when you last synced

Logout

To disconnect your account:

  1. Click Paplix → Settings
  2. Click Logout or Disconnect
  3. Confirm the action

Your local projects will remain, but you won't be able to sync until you log in again.

Switch Accounts

To use a different Paplix account:

  1. Logout from the current account
  2. Log in with the new account
  3. Your repositories from the new account will be available

Token Management

The plugin uses secure OAuth tokens to authenticate with Paplix:

  • Tokens are stored securely on your computer
  • Tokens automatically refresh when needed
  • Revoking access from the Paplix website will require re-authentication

Troubleshooting

Login Window Doesn't Open

  • Check if your default browser is working
  • Try manually opening paplix.io/login
  • Ensure no popup blockers are preventing the window

Authentication Fails

  • Verify your Paplix account is active
  • Check your internet connection
  • Try logging out and back in

"Session Expired" Error

Your token may have expired. Simply log in again to refresh it.

Security

  • Your password is never stored in the plugin
  • OAuth tokens are encrypted on your device
  • You can revoke access anytime from your Paplix account settings
